Dan Friedman CPA CGMA ACMA

Dan grew up in Johannesburg South Africa with parents in the pharmaceutical distribution and pharmacy industries. Dan realised his passion for everything business early helping his dad, then a Director of Adcock Ingram Wholesale prepare for conferences. The complexities of stakeholder relationships, customers and the value chain served as the spark.

When Dan finished school, he attended the University of Johannesburg and graduated with a BCom in Accounting and BCom Honours in Financial Management. Dan then continued his professional post-graduate path and obtained his degree as a Global Chartered Management Accountant in the United Kingdom. Dan, being proudly Australian, is a registered CPA in Australia.

Dan would go on to join the family business with his dad after university, and together they established long-lasting supplier and customer relationships in the agricultural, supply chain and automotive sectors in Southern Africa. The pioneering plastic returnable packaging business, that was started in a few apple orchards not far from Cape Town was then taken to the USA and continued its world-wide expansion.

Working on this business, Dan learned the true value, is not only what is on the balance sheet and in the numbers but the owner’s sweat, passion and deep relationships with its people and customers. The overall value in a business lies both within its financial and often misunderstood qualitative value.

Dan has also started up, built and operated businesses within the online, direct selling, logistics, educational, cleaning and chemical, retail, hospitality, classic car and real estate industries. His 15 years plus of generalist experience in management, operations and financial roles of business sets him apart as the sales specialist to sell your business.
