David Devonshire

David has a wealth of financial acumen and strategic insight gained over a distinguished career in Corporate Finance across the Advertising, Media, and Marketing Communications sectors. With a strong foundation in business and real estate, David is well equipped to navigate complex commercial transactions making him a trusted advisor for clients looking to buy or sell businesses in these dynamic industries.

David began his career after completing a National Diploma in Business at Unitec, followed by a Bachelor of Business at Auckland University of Technology. He went on to hold senior financial management roles with top global agencies including DDB in New Zealand, OMD in Australia and Omnicom Media Group in Singapore. His leadership experience across multiple markets has refined his skills in commercial strategy, financial oversight and stakeholder engagement.

With a strong background in start-ups, mergers, and acquisitions, David has developed a keen understanding of what drives value in a business. His industry specialisation enables him to guide owners and investors through every stage of the transaction process, leveraging his insider knowledge of the media and communications landscape to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

Outside of work, David enjoys being involved in the community and referees Touch Rugby across several Auckland modules. He is also a former New Zealand Rugby League referee and lives in central Auckland with his wife and two daughters.
